The following awards do not require students to submit an application and recipients are based on academic performance in the specific course: 

  • Alfred Sung Award (Sponsored by Mimran Group Inc.)
    Up to $500
    For excellence in Apparel Design.
    Up to $500
    For excellence in Apparel Production.
  • Allan J. Chindemi Memorial Award
    Up to $1200

    Presented to a third-year Fashion Design student who has attained the highest academic standing, specializing in menswear and continuing in menswear for their fourth-year collection.
  • Brettons' Designer of the Year Award
    Up to $1200

    Awarded for excellence in fourth-year design.
  • Lindt Award for Excellence in Fashion Design
    Up to $1000

    To be eligible, a student must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a protected person, must be a full-time program student enrolled in FFD 413 with a clear academic standing, and must exhibit a high level of design and craftsmanship in an evening wear garment. Must self-nominate or be nominated by faculty or a member of the community.
  • Simon Chang/Phyllis Levine Foundation Award
    Up to $1000

    Awards for overall academic proficiency in the design component including sports wear, day wear and evening wear, continuing into fourth year with the highest academic standing in Advanced Fashion Design II.
  • Telio Scholarship
    Up to $1000

    To be eligible, a student must be a full-time student enrolled in fourth year of the Fashion Design program, have created a niche apparel collection that was shown to an industry jury, have established a brand logo and have developed a strategy for distribution/targeting ideal retailers and for marketing a product launch.
  • Theo Cokkinos Memorial Scholarship
    Up to $400

    For excellence in couture design and techniques.
  • The Suzanne Rogers Undergraduate Award
    Awarded to student(s) who have demonstrated excellence in fashion craftsmanship and design and who are fellows in The Suzanne Rogers Fashion Institute.
  • Victoria Amadio Memorial Scholarship
    Up to $2900

    Students must score the highest mark for their evening wear collection (collection should exhibit a high level of design and craftsmanship), produced in their fourth-year of the Fashion Design program; be in clear academic standing and demonstrate financial need.
  • Zoe Cokkinos Memorial Award
    Up to $1000

    Awarded to a student for creativity in evening wear design.
